The Devil Worshipper

Summary:   It's about a girl who is Atheist and by her friends influence is changed to become a devil worshiopper.

Kelly hated going to church and her parents forced her to go every Sunday. Kelly Anderson was a beautiful, young teenager, 15 years of age. She had long blonde curls and big, blue eyes, radiant skin colour and was of average height. She lived in a huge house in the middle of the city along with her parents, older sister Andrea and brother James. Kelly really enjoyed her deluxe life style. The only problem she had was after 2 years of her parent's marriage they had converted to Christians. Ever since 22 years her parents went to church every Sunday. They never missed it and would always take one child with them. Andrea had moved out to live with her boyfriend for a few months and James was too busy and old to be told what to do, so the only option left was Kelly. She had been spending her valuable Sunday mornings at church for the past two months! She hated it but couldn't say no to her parents.

Seeing as her older sister had moved out Kelly spent most her time at home with her brother. And had grown a very close relationship with him, they could tell each other anything and everything. She never even saw him as a boy but as another sister, he would drive her places and in return she would cover for him whenever an angry girlfriend arrived at the door. She loved her brother dearly and didn't know what she would do without him. James had even planned for her to go on holiday with him, just the two of them. There was only three days left till the day they were to leave, when suddenly the phone rang. It was a call from the hospital and her parents had been called, it was an emergency. Kelly got very worried when she was told her brother had been in a car accident. They rushed to the hospital and on the way up saw one of James' friends on a wheelchair; this only frightened Kelly even more. It was Zack, one of James' close friends he told them the whole story, how James' had got drunk then insisted that he drives. He was driving normally until he reached the bridge; a huge lorry came round the curve and crashed right into them without James' noticing a thing. The next thing Zack new was that he was being hurried to the hospital. Kelly and her parents ran upstairs and found James' in the emergency ward, they waited for a few hours and then found out that he had serious brain damage and didn't have long to live. After two days James died.

Ever since that day forward Kelly didn't step into a church, she totally lost belief in god. She had lost the one person she loved most in the world, her sister moved permanently into her boyfriend's house and her parents just spent most their time at work. She couldn't get over James' death though it had been four months now. She loved life before and now after just one tragic incident she began hating it. She spent all her time in her room reading strange stories. One day she came across a book called 'The Devil Worshiper', she began reading and saw how these people who called themselves the 'freemasons' did as they pleased. They could control their own lives and the events happening in them. This really interested her and she began searching for a freemason, but couldn't find any as they kept their faith secretive. Then one day she came across one, she recognized her as she has the sign on her hand, of a circle and star containing a picture of the devil himself. She jumped in joy and ran to greet her. The girl ignored her and walked off but when she heard that Kelly wanted to join the freemasons and she new that the girl was one, the girl was amazed at how Kelly recognised the small sign and agreed.

Her name was Fienda; she took Kelly to a small, sinister building in a part of the city where Kelly had never been before. When she entered the building she first saw a vast, gloomy room where all the walls were painted in black. The roof had a huge painting of the sign, which Kelly later found out was called the amcurus. All across the walls there were inscriptions that were written in another language, the room had dim lighting and cushions laid out on the floor, in one corner there was two settees. There were two other doors in the room; Kelly was later going to find out what they led to. Fienda took her straight to the middle of the room, and made Kelly sit in front of a tall man wearing a long, dark coat. This was the leader of the group, Belthazoor; he greeted her politely and then asked how she discovered them. She told him how she had read a book that was written by an anonymous writer. He bluntly asked her whether she wanted to join or not. He didn't even bother explaining anything about himself or this group. Kelly didn't understand how to respond, she might have wanted to join but she didn't even know what it was yet. She finally said to him that she wanted to find out more before joining. Reluctantly Belthazoor granted Fienda permission to tell Kelly a little about it later. Belthazoor didn't want Kelly to know too much as he wasn't sure if she would believe or not and if she left she might spread news about them. Fienda took Kelly through one of the two other doors; it led to another room almost identical to the first but a lot smaller in size. She asked Kelly to sit and began telling her how they are joined to form this group and showed her pictures explaining about the freemasons. Kelly discovered that most she had read about them was right; these people lived independent lives however they have to acquire permission from Belthazoor before doing anything.

After hearing Fienda's stories Kelly finally made up her mind that she would join, what never occurred to her was that this group worshiped the king of evil so this group was bound to be evil. And evil can't bring god into her life; she was falling in the wrong direction. Kelly later met other members of the freemasons. Most dressed in black rags and had their hair dyed white. But these were only those who hardly left the weird building. One boy who really caught Kelly's attention was this short little boy, who wore lose rags and a helmet almost shaped as a skull. This really freaked Kelly out and she asked Fienda why they all dressed so weird. She explained how they all desired to be different from the world around them.

After a few weeks had passed Fienda took me through the other door for the first time. I was really excited to find out what was back there. Inside she saw nothing until Fienda switched on the light. It was a spotlight reflecting on a large statue in the middle of the room, the statue was tall with a face similar to that of a dog, it had large eyes and two fangs; it resembled the devil in many ways. Everyone was bowing down to it. Kelly just stood back and watched in amazement; after a few minutes had gone by she saw a face she thought she recognised. She looked again to see if it was true, 'YES! It was really she; Andréa Kelly's sister was a part of the circle. But how? How could Andrea have been here she should've been with her boyfriend? Subsequently she searched for Andrea's boyfriend and there he was just as she had suspected, he had been part of them and convinced Andrea to join also. Kelly finally figured out what was attracting Andrea to this guy, it wasn't anything about him it was this cult. This really freaked Kelly, she thought of leaving with Andrea except when she approached Andrea. Andrea took her into the other room again and explained why she couldn't leave and the benefits of remaining a freemason. Kelly now didn't see any benefits besides the evil this religion brought about. Then Andrea demonstrated to her what she meant. Andrea looked at a chair in the corner of the room and concentrated on it for quite a while soon it began to levitate, it was floating around two feet above the ground. Kelly was most amazed and curios to know what the trick was behind it. Fienda entered then explained to Kelly how it was all to do with her concentration; if she focused she could do it too. Fienda said it was the power that was gifted to every member of the freemason.

After all this had happened Kelly got more and more deeper into the group. She could now also levitate, and was practising how to read people's minds. She now really enjoyed the time she spent here. Everyday after school she would come straight here then one day Andrea suggested to her to leave school so she had more time to spend her. Kelly finally did leave school and her entire life became devoted to the devil. Belthazoor had made Kelly swear to secrecy and her parents never found out a thing about where both their daughters had disappeared.

Life just seemed to improve until one night, Kelly got up from her bed to get a glass of water when she realised someone was behind her she turned around and screamed out of fright. It was James just standing there. She thought she was hallucinating, but he was really there, she asked him what was going on. He didn't reply but just disappeared. She ignored it thinking it was just a silly dream and went back to sleep. For the next few days the same thing happened. However now he just said "I'm trying to help you. Save yourself" Kelly didn't under save her from what? This really got her worried so she told andrea about it andrea just told her it was a silly dream and to ignore it. But when Fienda found out she got worried and gave Kelly a necklace to wear around her neck before going to sleep. Then after a week James finally told her what she should abstain from. He was referring to the freemasons, he told her only these much, "listen! Stay away from the group you joined it is nothing but evil and will destroy you." Kelly immediately ran to tell fiend but then hesitated, as she knew Fienda would tell her to ignore it too. So she decided to go to a Christian priest, he explained to her that dreams always indicate the truth. So instantly she went to the group with intentions of leaving.

When she arrived Belthazoor knew what she was going to say so he grabbed her by the arm and pushed her into the vroom. First he tried to convince her that the dream meant nothing but she was already freaked out and wanted to leave. However Belthazoor couldn't allow that, he called Fienda and told her to lock Kelly up she did as ordered. Behind Kelly was the huge statue of the devil, after staring at it for quite a while she began beating it, seeing as it wasn't doing it any harm she grabbed a log from near by and smashed the statue into tiny pieces. Then sat beside it crying. Belthazoor entered and saw his statue on the floor he commanded that she be tied up. After a few hours someone finally entered the room it was Andrea and Kelly was so pleased to see her. But she wasn't here to help she came with a bottle and began pouring a liquid all over Kelly. Kelly smelt it, it was petrol; they were going to burn her! Belthazoor entered carrying a stick of fire and flung it at her chanting 'Witch, witch!' then they all watched her burn.
