Main Characters in "A Separate Peace"

The four main characters in A Separate Peace are Gene Forrester, Phineas (Finny), Leper Lepellier, and Brinker Hadley. All of the characters change in one way or another during the course of the book. Their lives are intertwined in the war half way around the world.

Gene was about five foot eleven inches tall, in the beginning of the book, he is very studious, and he is always competing to do well in school but when he becomes friends with Finny, he doesn't study as much because he spends his time with Finny who never studies and doesn't get very good grades. Gene is very jealous of Finny's athletic abilities and he ends up knocking him out of the tree and breaking his leg.
