Summary: This is a literary analysis on "A Noiseless Patient Spider" by Walt Whitman anto other Whitman poems.
In this essay I will analyze "A Noiseless Patient Spider", by Walt Whitman, through its: style, content, and similarity of content and theme to other Whitman poems. Similarity through poems will be of "Song of Myself" and "A Noiseless Patient Spider". Style and content will be that Whitman's ways of writing of "A Noiseless Patient Spider".

Many of his poems revolve around the concept of being an outsider versus being part of the social structure. This is especially true of "Song of Myself" and "A Noiseless Patient Spider". In each poem it is obvious how comfortable he is with his solitude, but at the same time it is clear that he wants to feel like a part of the whole.
