Summary:   The life of James Herriot


James Herriot is a world famous veterinarian that has written many popular books. These books take people into his vet practice and show them how he lived and saved many pets' lives. Some of these books include All Creatures Great and Small, All Things Bright and Beautiful, and All Things Wise and Wonderful. I enjoyed these books a lot because of the simple humor, and the touching true stories of animals beings saved.

James Herriot was born October 3rd, 1916 in Sunderland, England. Although the books claim his name is James Herriot, his real birth name is James Alfred Wight. Just after he was born, he moved to Glasgow, where he lived for over 20 years. After finishing high-school, Alfred Wight continued his education and became a qualified veterinary surgeon and moved to Thirsk, a farming community.....
