Summary:   Civil War


The Civil War was a very bloody time in America. There is a new museum dedicated to Civil War Medicine. The museum is located in a building which dates back to the 1830's. The bloodiest day of the Civil War was called the Battle of Antietam. There were 8,000 wounded soldiers whom had to be brought back to town and treated for. The hospitals were unable to contain such numbers, so they set up make-shift hospitals. The museum is not yet completed but it does have the first floor done. It is dedicated to all the main issues of Civil War medicine......
