The Story of Moses

Summary:   Compares and contrasts the life of Moses according to Scripture and the movie, "The Ten Commandments."


The story of Moses is a well-known narrative that can be found in the Bible. There are many versions based upon this story, and The Ten Commandments is only one of them. Moses' encounters with Rameses during his pre-adult years, Nefertiri, and Dathan can not be traced in the Bible. However, it can be found in The Ten Commandments. Moses' encounters with the Lord at the burning bush, the deliverance of the Hebrews, and the Ten Commandments are just a few points that were alike between the Bible and the film. Although The Ten Commandments is based upon the Biblical story of Moses, there are many similarities and differences that can be found when compared.

In The Ten Commandments, Rameses plays an active role during Moses' pre-adult years but in the Bible, Rameses never interacts with Moses......
