Biography of Mohandes Gandhi

Summary:   Biography of Mohandes Gandhi.


Mohandas Gandhi was an Indian lawyer, leader, and hero to all Indians. He made many political and civil accomplishment in India and other parts of Africa. He lead huge successful protests without using violence of any sort. He fought for the independence of India and Pakistan, fought for Indian rights in South Africa, and made peace between the Hindu and Muslim.

Gandhi's first major accomplishment was in a country called Pretoria in South Africa. Mohandas had just returned from England where he attended college and received a law degree. The Indian people of Pretoria were being treated very unfair by the British Empire. They were forced to register with the government, be fingerprinted, and carry a certificate of registration at all times. Police could ask to see the certificate of registration at any time and could inspect.....
