Aldous Huxley Paradigm Essay

Summary:  

Huxley is, and will always be one of the greatest writers of the twentieth century. His works have been read and reread countless times, and his lessons during the first part of his life were excellent. This essay recounts his life and many of his works.

Aldous Huxley was born July 26, 1894 under somewhat harsh, yet also very promising, circumstances. Throughout his life, Huxley's family, period of time in which he lived and circumstances molded his every action and piece of literary art. His mother died when he was 14, and he went nearly blind for about eighteen months two years later due to an illness attacking his eyes. He was sent off to excellent preparatory schools and given the best education possible at the time, eventually making it to the prestigious private school of Eton at the age of 13 (BookRags Context 1). Aldous' being born into a prominent home along with the period of time in which he lived had a very profound impact upon his life as a writer, and, ultimately, upon his writings ("Aldous Huxley: The Author.....
