Summary: Skateboarding and our right to chose a sport
Free Will and Expression Skate boarding is not a crime! Why is it that our society frowns upon the typical skateboarder? Is it because of the looks or is it because of the crewed form of art which skaters' posses.

The skate board is a tool in which the skater can use to express his/her emotions, feelings, and fears. What many people do not realize is that skating an art form. The skater's canvas is the streets and the paint brush is the skate board. The way a person skates can define a whole generation of energetic expressionists pushing the limits and expanding the field of skate boarding. Skateboarding is legal but yet boarders are being prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Why is it that a person cannot express themselves in this extreme sport without being stereotyped? The grunge or skater look has stunted the way our society feels about the fastest growing extreme sport in the world. Just because these young extreme sport activists look different does not mean that their morals are any different than the average honest person. Clothes do not define a person it is their personality that shows character.

Not only is skate boarding fun for all ages but it is a good mean of transportation. Besides a good workout, skate boarding can be a quick and easy way of getting around. The newest invention to strike the skating world is quickly becoming popular. Soft wheels and longer boards make for an easier and quicker ride. The soft wheels allow you to glide over obstacles with ease. Rubber wheels also add speed to a cursing skate boarder.

A whole generation is defined by this extreme sport. Skating is populated with a diverse younger crowd. It is an overwhelming population of a counter culture, who express themselves through an art form known as soul skating. These skaters are hard core and live for the sport!

Skating will be around for awhile. As long as charismatic youth are looking for ways of expression through themselves, skating will be alive in their souls. Skate boarding is here to stay whether the majority of the public likes it or not! Trespassing may be against the law but skate boarding is never a crime!
