Summary: A personal perspective on the issue of race.
In the dictionary, blindness is most simply defined as not able or willing to notice, understand, or judge. Basically it means being sightless. If blindness has such a simple definition, then at times, why is it so hard to see? There have been many events in my life which I have known little about. With age, I have been able to see and understand more of the past and of the present. Even with my current level of maturity, only recently have I been able to see some of the things that had once passed before me. The most hidden of these occurrences were my experiences in middle school. Because of these experiences I had put myself into an image which was not my own. I didn't know I had changed. I couldn't tell. I never was very significant. In all reality, I was a different person.
