Night and day are as opposite as things get but even they can be compared in the same way. As well as T.J. and Stacey, two characters in the book Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry. Roll of thunder hear my cry is about the Logans, a black family, growing up in the south during the depression. Stacey and TJ are two very different and alike people.

Stacey and TJ are very alike in numerous ways. Foremost they are both experiencing discrimination. As black people in the depression they are the targeted people to get discriminated. Being sharecroppers as TJ is or land owners as Stacey is they both get discriminated. In the depression it was abnormal for black people to have land as the Logans did. White people, such as the Simms, a racist family, gave the Logans trouble throughout...
