Leo Tolstoy Biography

It is said that one individual is simply not capable of influencing the course of history. A conclusion on the study of Leo Tolstoy's writings would beg to differ. Brought into this world on September 9th of 1828, Leo Tolstoy became apart of a family of Russian nobility. Count Nikolai Ilynch Tolstoy and Princess Mary Nikolaevna Volkanskaya were married in 1822. The couple moved to the princess's family estate at Yasnaya Polyand with their first born, Nikolai, most obviously named after his father. At this time came the birth of Sergei and Dimitri.
