Summary:   Essay about the book, The Natural.


Roy is a young man going to try out for the cubs a baseball team, but then he was shot and has no shot at the pros. Years later he came back as a rookie but he is now 37 and is old but still has the love for the game. HE was put on the last place team called the Knights. His bat is what all the people talk about. He plays left field and that is where his worst enemy Bump. Bump dies when he goes after a fly ball and runs into a wall. Then Roy takes Bump's place in left field. Then he falls in love with Memo who is still in love with Bump even after he is dead. Then later she sees how much she likes Roy and falls in.....
