Introduction to the Korean Society

Summary:   The introduction to the korean society and its culture. the reflection of the west creating a turmoil for the east.


At a young age the name Republic of Korea, meant so much to me. Knowing that I was Korean made me proud. My parents always told me that we are from a great nation, with history that dates back more than 2000 years and I felt that I was better than others solely, because I was born a Korean. Unfortunately as I grew older and wiser my feelings towards my country has shifted from being proud towards frustration. This past month I have found my self, angry with the so-called leaders of our nation. I have learned that the leaders of our country are neglecting the voices of the people; they are hiding behind their political barriers when actions for rights and justice are needed. Furthermore, the pool of corruption is over flowing the mass media.....
