Elvis Presley (1935-1977)

Elvis Presley was one of the first huge stars in the music scene and perhaps the greatest. His popularity continued long after his death, making him a legend forever. Elvis Aron Presley was born in Tupelo, Mississippi. Like most famous musicians the music in his childhood greatly influenced his style of singing. Elvis often listened to gospel, country, and rhythm and blues as a child. At the age of 13, he moved with his family to Memphis, Tennessee. Unlike most 18 year olds Elvis drove a truck for a living and happened to enter the Sun Records studio run by Sam Phillips in Memphis. Where he ended up recording two songs for his mother's birthday. Turns out Phillips signed him to a recording contract. Who knew the song he recorded for his mother "That's.....
