In the past few months many people of opposite opinions have tried to defend or oppose the war. However, not many of them have done so on an intellectual level, instead they choose to make arguments such as "War is horrible so we shouldn't do it" and on the other side "We are the most powerful country on earth, we can do what we want". It is clear that analyzing the reasons for the war and then making opinions based on facts and historical examples is necessary.

First of all, the misconceptions about George W. Bush and his motivations need to be cleared up. Most of all, this is not an oil war, at least not for US oil interests. The US does not have much reason to care about Iraqi oil; according to CNN America only imports 3% of our total oil usage form Iraq...
