Puritan religion

Religion in New England town was extremely important. The people that lived here were the Puritans. To the Puritans religion was everything and their whole lives were based on their religion. Wanting to purify their religion, they migrated to the new world in the 17th century. A great number of those puritans came to Farmington. Puritan is a name given in the 17th century to more extreme Protestants within the Church of England. They thought that the English Reformation had not gone far enough in reforming the doctrines and structure of the church, insisted that their duty was to direct national affairs according to the Bible. It is very hard to say when Puritanism started to go away in America. Some say in New England, this religion went away in the 18th century. Religion had huge.....
