Kethuvim: Source for Ridicule or Growth?

To understand the reasons behind the inclusion of conflicting views in the Bible we must first observe the nature of these differences, although there is difference in writing style, delivery, and content, the difference is most apparent in the background of the Kethuvim.

When approaching the Bible from an objective perspective - in which historical, cultural, and social influences are taken into account - the fact that there has been some editorial work done to the Bible is evident. Kethuvim is composed of writings placed in the postexilic period, a period in which the Israeli cult was experiencing somewhat of a revival. Throughout this period there were numerous cases of regulations that tried to 'purify', if not alienate themselves, from the surrounding cultures.
