Summary:   Causes of the war of 1812.


As Cornwallis stood his army on the peninsula of Yorktown surrounded by George Washington's militiamen and their French allies, his only choice was to surrender his army. This would give a surprising victory to the underestimated Americans and would give birth to their independent nation. It took awhile before United States could perfect their government, but they finally came up with the Constitution in 1787. Based on the ideas of life, liberty, and happiness, this government would become a paradigm for other countries.

After the U.S gained their independence from Britain they faced the greatest obstacle that would threaten their independence. This was a second war fought against Great Britain called the War of 1812.

With the Napoleonic Wars in Europe battling on, the United States tried to remain neutral since her nation.....
