Summary:   Competition is a healthy part of life for young children


In a society where the strong reap the benefits, competition is unavoidable. It can be seen everywhere, it's in the workplace, at school, even at home. Furthermore all children must deal with competition, whether in the sandbox, on the ball field, in dance class or with academic work. Creating a competitive atmosphere for children encourages them to strive for the best. In a world where people do not strive to do their best you would be left with mediocre doctors, teachers, lawyers, etc. People who are talented and strive hard to become the very best should be rewarded. For example if you were to under go heart surgery wouldn't you rather the most skilled and qualified heart surgeon"
