Literary Analysis Essay

          The novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding is an exciting and adventurous story of schoolboys plane-wrecked on a deserted island. The children become savages, and teach us a lesson that everybody has evil in them.

          The theme is mostly what I just said.  Golding wrote this novel to show how evil human kind can be and that each human being is capable of doing evil actions.  Golding said:  "Each person has an evil inner nature poorly covered by society;  If society is taken away, the inner nature comes out and chaos and lawlessness erupt."  That about sums the whole point and theme of this novel.
