The problem with the well-organized animal rights groups People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), is that they do not focus on a specific task. They find thousands of violations to "animal rights" that companies and people make. They attempt to change things with illegal protests and demonstrations. They hardly make any difference. Instead they have created a bad name for people who care about animals. Most people now associate animal rights activists with "loonies." PETA's time and effort is wasted, and hardly any positive improvement has been made for the animals. If they focused their efforts on to one of two issues, they could actually make a difference.
