A Separate Peace, written by John Knowles, is about a boy, Gene, who spent his summer at The Devon School along with his best friend Finny. The summer is spent having fun, going to a few classes, and generally not following the rules. Finny was a master at finding an excuse for doing anything. He thought of the wildest adventures, and included Gene in all of them. Finny made it seem like there were no worries in the world, there was no war, and they would never grow up to be adults. When he fell from the tree, Gene immediately stepped into the real would and realized that there were consequences for everything. In the winter session under the guidance of Brinker, Gene slowly became an adult and became.....
