"An actor creates, with his body and voice, sights and sounds that contribute to the artistically patterned experience we call a play." (Benedetti 3). The field of acting is quite a large one, and it takes a lot to get into. The profession is so varied that one must be extremely flexible to get along and progress in it. There is so much involved with acting, and there are so many fields within the profession, that millions of people are involved in it today. There are many requirements in acting that are highly recommended including education, training, representation, and so on. Also, the conditions are extremely diverse, so many acting jobs are very irregular. Acting, however, has a rather high outlook, with many different openings in the field.
