The Foul is Fair

What ever happened to the good old days, when kids played sports for fun, or just to keep active?  Well sports fans, those days are gone.  Sports today have become serious, competitive games that teach youths the importance of hard work and dedication.  Cheating has also evolved to new heights, as addressed in Harry Bruce's essay, "May The Best Cheater Win".  But, Mr. Bruce's ideas of cheating are mind-boggling; he believes that no foul is a "fair foul".  My views on sports today are very different from Mr. Bruce's.  I believe that "the good foul" is a fair part of a team's defense.  Cheating is definitely present in sports, but I see it more in offense than defense.

Playing tight defense isn't cheating; it's a winning strategy.  Sure, some players take it to the extreme, but.....
