Summary: This is a brief biography of the life of Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of Penicillin.
Sir Alexander Fleming was born on 6th day in August 1881, in Ayrshire, Scotland to Hugh Fleming and Grace Morton . As a young boy, Fleming started his early education with his siblings not far from his home. Although he was born in Scotland, he received most of his formal education in London, where he later joined the London Scottish Regiment . The army is what provoked Fleming's career. As a child, he was not definitely destined to be a doctor or scientist of any sort, more likely a farmer on his family's estate. However, Fleming took a liking to the medical field, thus he began his studies at St. Mary's Hospital Medical School in 1901 .
