Why do we wear clothes? At first glance, that may seem obvious. We wear clothes because we have to wear clothes, society expects it of us. We wear different clothes for different occasions, we wear the clothes that we can afford, and we wear the clothes our jobs expect us to wear. These ways have not changed since the 18th century. Fashion even affects religion and politics. Religious people have to wear certain clothes to show their religion. For example Jews wear yam micas. It's part of their religion.
