Summary:   A reader response to "The Goblin Market," by Christina Rossetti.


"The Goblin Market," a poem by Christina Rossetti, is about the evils of temptation and the relationships that helps us out of those evils.  Lizzie and Laura are two sisters who were always there for each other when one went down the road of temptation.  Rossetti shows that family and friends are important parts of our lives through the story of Lizzie and Laura.  It is one's family and friends that one can rely on to always be there when times are difficult.

Family plays a very integral part in staying afloat during a rough time.  They tend to give advice during times when certain decisions are hard to make.  "'No,' said Lizzie, 'no, no, no; Their offers should not charm us, Their evil gifts would harm us.'"  However, Laura did not listen to her sister's warning.....
