What Is Art?
"Were I called on to define, very briefly, the term Art, I should call it 'the reproduction of what the Senses perceive in Nature through the veil of the soul.' The mere imitation, however accurate, of what is in Nature, entitles no man to the sacred name of 'Artist.'"
When many people think of art, they probably think of paintings, or sculptures. However, there are many other art forms that are often overlooked, such as the performance arts: dance, film, and music. But art is in the eye of the beholder, which basically means that it's only art if it means something to you.
