It's helped me to look ahead, not down at the ground feeling sorry for myself. I have a good life, I don't have the hardships that many others do, but I have had some rough spots and running has helped me to work through them. I've learned to finish things through and when it gets hard and I want to give up, I just keep my feet moving and bear with it.
