Summary: Compares and contrasts the characters of Abigail Williams and Mary Warren from the book "The Crucible" by Arthur Miller.
In the play "The Crucible" Mary Warren and Abigail Williams play a crucial role. Abigail Williams is Reverend Parris' niece. She used to work for the Proctors but committed lechery with John Proctor and was fired. The love she still has for Proctor is evident in her speech. Abigail will do anything to get him back. She confronts John and says "You loved me John Proctor, and whatever sin it is, you love me yet!" Now Mary Warren is the Proctors maid. Mary was one of the girls caught dancing in the woods and testified against many of Salem's "witches."

Abigail and Mary have very few things of the same characteristics. The similarities in these two girls are subtler like the fact that they are both children of Salem. Abigail and Mary were pretending to see the devil. Both the girls and all the others are immoral because...
