Suspense Driven Thriller

Summary:   This essay deals with the Henry Jame's style of writing specifically in "The Turn of The Screw."


Henry James is not your average author, nor is his book "The Turn of the Screw". His style of writing is quite different from the bluntness and strait forward facts that authors frequently use to communicate their thoughts to the reader. Often times being open and giving your reader an exact feel of the situation is a good thing. This method puts the reader into the book by first letting you know what everything is and then also letting you know exactly how the character feels. In terms of "Turn of the Screw" however, Henry James wants to use that suspense and mystery that's created by not always explaining everything and by flipping the order in which he explains emotion. He foreshadows the facts by conveying the emotion, he grabs you a pulls you in so.....
