What would our lives be like if we lowered the drinking age to 18? Alcohol is already the leading substance abused by teens throughout America. If we did lower the drinking age kids would start drinking at a younger age, and they would be able to obtain alcohol much more easily. Alcohol is also known to be related with crime, so the crime rates would also be up. One thing would lead to another, and soon enough most of society would be corrupted and destroyed. 11 million Americans under the age of 21 use alcohol, and if the drinking age was lowered there would be a lot more minors abusing alcohol.
