Wars, Crisis

French crisis - French plundered 300 american vessels, americans seeking no war, sends treaty

Jay Treaty - treay that the french interpreted as an american assist the British in their war against France

Indian color line - nothing able to be done by the Indians, they become drinkers and violent.

federal law - led way in restricintg black rights, as congress established procedures for naturalizing aliens in 1790's
