Summary: Describes the life and accomplishments of Theodore Roosevelt.
Theodore Roosevelt was born on October 27, 1858 in New York City. In his lifetime, he accomplished many different things and change the worlds prospective of America for the better. Theodore Roosevelt's accomplishments are some to be proud of. From 1876-1880 he attended Harvard. In 1880 he joined the Republican party, then from 1880-1882 he entered Columbia Law School and discontinued his study of law without getting his degree or becoming a lawyer. In 1881 Roosevelt was the youngest man ever to be elected to the New York State Assembly until 1884. Also in 1882 he joined the National Guard where he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in B Company of New York's Eighth Regiment and was promoted to Captain the next year. From 1898-1900 Theodore Roosevelt was governor of New York. As governor, his strong leadership skills were clearly seen.
