R.L. Stine was born on October 8, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio, United States. He has definitely made a humungous change since he was in school. When he was a kid,his family was very poor. Even though he chooses to live in an apartment in New York City, New York, he sure does have a lot of money now! He lives with his dog Nadine, whom accompanies him on his long walks around New York City. He has a son Matt, but he recently left to attend college at the University of Wisconsin. Matt has never read any of his father's books. Not even the book that he was included in, "DON'T GO TO SLEEP" which was published in 1997 for the original Goosebumps series.
