Lord of the Flies

Summary: Essay provides a discussion of the characters in "Lord of the Flies."
In the story Lord of the Flies a bunch of boys try to survive on an island with no grown ups. This story is trying to tell kids what it would be like if there were no grown ups in this world. Some of these boys that are involved in this story is Ralph, Jack, Piggy, and Simon.

Ralph is one of the major characters in this story. He is given the role as chief in the first chapter. He first comes in the story climbing a terrace looking for other boys wearing shirt and shorts. All he wants to do on this island is to get off alive but has trouble doing so with Jack on the island. Throughout the story he keeps trying to get off the island by making a fire but the fire keeps on going out. Some of the boys on the island...
