Summary: Essay discusses the aspect of dealing with a mental illness and overcoming it in the movie "A Beautiful Mind."
The movie "A Beautiful Mind" inspired by John Nash was a movie about an astonishing mathematician who was so close to national praise but then his life drastically changed course when his brilliance was undermined by schizophrenia. With the help of his devoted wife Alicia he overcame the hardship and won the Nobel Prize.

According to the movie I would say that John Nash would most definitely be placed in the Paranoid category. Paranoid schizophrenia's symptoms are delusions and hallucinations of persecution or grandeur (or both) and sometime irrational jealousy. The reason I classified him into this category is mainly because of the hallucinations that he had in the movie, him thinking that he had a room mate the whole time in Princeton that was nothing more than a character that his mind made up to keep him company and to keep him on track for say.
