Violence occurs on a daily basis to any race, sex, age and so on. Domestic violence accounts for about one quarter of all violent crime and it can be physical, psychological, sexual or financial. When it comes to violence, statistics seem to go on forever. For example, one out of four women will be battered at some point in her life. A man is battered every sixteen minutes in the United States (143,000 times per year.) With statistics like these, it is hard to believe how anyone feels safe.
