Friendship

Summary:  

This essay is a personal essay on the true definition of friendship.

What is friendship? According to Aristotle, friendship is reciprocated goodwill. You must direct your thoughts and actions toward another person for their own good and the good of yourself. I can agree with Aristotle, that this is what you need to have a good friendship. A friend should be someone that you can trust and be able to lean on in time of strife. My mom once said to me, "A relationship should bring out the good in you and the other person involved." However, I did not heed to this advice.

In September, I was actually asked out by a guy. I was so excited because I never really had a "guy" friend and I thought that having a boyfriend would be the best thing in the world. Therefore, against the wishes of my friends,.....
