The movie,The Odyssey, starts off with the birth of Telemachus. Odysseus's wife is Penelope. On the day of the birth of Telemachus, Agamemnon and Menelaus come to Ithaca to ask Odysseus to join in the Battle of Troy with them. Odysseus agrees to go to battle with them and ships are loaded with people and supplies. When Odysseus is leaving with everyone else towards Troy, it is shown that Penelope cries on top of a mountain. On the ship, while the crew gets drunk at night, Odysseus sees bright-eyed Athena and has a chat with her. This chat is not mentioned in the book. Then, the next day it is shown that the crew gets to Troy and engages in the fight. Hector is being chased by a guy and then he is seen being dragged along behind a horse.
