Taming of the Shrew written by William Shakespeare and Ten Things I Hate about you, inspired by Shakespeare's play, Taming of the Shrew are two extravagant masterpieces that are able to capture and amaze their audiences. The movies have many similarities and differences some of which are minor and some of which are significantly major.
The first and most evident difference between the two movies occurs within the plot of the movies. In Taming of the Shrew, Katherina is a wild, loud mouthed daughter of a wealthy Italian nobleman named Baptista, and the sister of a beautiful girl called Bianca who live in the town of Padua. Baptista does not allow Bianca to get married until her sister Katherina gets married which creates many complications for Bianca as Katherina does not want to get married.....
