Summary: Essay discusses the controversial subject of abortion.
Webster defines murder as; the intentional and unlawful killing of a person, so pro-lifers could argue that abortion is intentional; therefore, it's murder. A pro-choicer could debate that it's not unlawful, though. So when does an embryo become a person? When does it become murder? As soon as egg is fertilized? As soon as it comes out into the world? Or is it somewhere in between?

Every year, over 50% of pregnancies in America are unplanned, and one half of those will end in abortions. Eighty-nine percent of abortions take place between 12 and 13 weeks. The earlier it is performed the safer it is for the mother. Only one in 160,000 women die from legal abortions.

Another question is - should the government pay for an abortion if the mother/parents can't afford it? If the parents were on welfare, it would cost the government the price of an abortion, or...
