Throughout Henry David Thoreau's writings I have learned a couple things from him that are useful and true about today's society. Thoreau's view on society could impact the way we live and could also help the economy greatly if people weren't so greedy. Two things that I have learned from reading Henry David Thoreau's writings is that we should have civil disobedience and have control over our lives and needs.
In this world today, all we do is think about wiping out our enemies until there are no more enemies to wipe out and we start hurting our selves because there are no more people to trade with or get important things that only are in certain countries like oil. Thoreau's view of how to deal with this is to have civil disobedience or to be non-violent.....
