Bob Marley - My Favorite Musician

Summary:   Essay describes the life and accomplishments of Bob Marley.

The artist that I enjoy to listen and I like his music is Bob Marley. He is known as a king of reggae and also he is called a father of this beautiful Jamaican music. He was the one who popularized reggae all over the world. Millions of people fall in love with his music either I. I am just wondering what he would achieve as an artist and a person if he would live longer then just thirty six years old.

When I asked my self a question: why I like Bob Marley's music? I would say that his music inspires my mind and my soul. His music is for my soul like water for every human being or sun light for every flower. It inspires me and gives me a positive energy which helps me to go through life. Bob Marley's music was with me since I bought his album The Legend and from that day it never left me alone. I just fell in love with his music.

Bob Marley was the type of artist that by his music he was trying to show to people that life is a very beautiful thing even when it does not appear to be. Even though his music is very positive his life was not like this at all. All the time he had to fight his way thru life and because of his love for music he could really survive. I have a lot of respect for his work because everything what he was doing was with passion. He put a lot of heart to very of his song and because of it his music sound very natural.

Bob Marley's music contains some type of propaganda. As we know he liked it to smoke illegal drug called marijuana and in his songs he was trying to convince people to legalize it. By his music he was trying to convince people that marijuana is not a drug and he was putting it at the same shelf with alcohol and cigarettes. Of course it was not true because as we know this reggae artist died of cancer what was caused by smoking of marijuana.

Also I like Bob Marley's music because you can listen to his songs anywhere at anytime. You can just have that one compact disk with you at all the time and you can listen to it no matter where you are or what are you doing. You just have to use your imagination and spice up your life a little bit with his music and your life should seemed more colorful.

Also Bob Marley impressed me after I found out that by his music he was trying and actually did help a lot of poor people. He was also an equal rights and opportunities fighter. By his music he was trying to show to the people that there is not justice in the world. Very good example is his song "Get up, stand up" that is telling us that we should not be giving up no matter what. We should fight for are rights even though it might be hard and we might meet a lot of obstacles on our way to achieve a success.

I have no doubts that Bob Marley has been the king of reggae and because of him this kind of music was heard all over the world. We can say that actually Bob Marley popularized reggae music and because of him people realized that this Jamaican type of music can be very interesting to hear. I respect him as an artist because he was playing music for the art and not solely for the money. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of reggae I loved his music as same as millions of people all over the world.
