Summary: As time pushes forward, it has become exceedingly easy to deceive others by giving false appearances. Shall we still trust what we see?
Appearance is the outward qualities and looks that can be seen, in other words, it tells nothing about what's beneath it. Endless of people continued to be deceived by appearances, even though they've known since a child that appearances can never be trusted. Few people are smart enough to overlook the obvious and perceive the secrets that have been carefully hidden, the wisdom, the soul and the story behind it all.
There is always someone who claims to be able to tell wise from fool by looking through the eyes, but the truth is that even eyes can lie. If wisdom was so easy to recognize, Newton wouldn't have been called a dunce by his teacher and Picasso wouldn't have been misunderstood and criticized so much in his life time.
