Deforestation and Global Warming

Summary:   Essay consists of a discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of global warming.


Due to an increase in population and industrialization, more carbon dioxide is released into the air during the process of burning fossil fuels in factories, emissions from car engines and deforestation.

1] Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas which will accumulate in the atmosphere. Other man-made greenhouse gases include nitrous oxides, methane and chlorofluorocarbons.

2] From deforestation, large amounts of trees in the forest are cut down. During the process, carbon dioxide is released into the air and accumulate in the atmosphere.

3] In agricultural activities, methane from the rice fields and the bacterial action called belching which occurs in cattle, is also released into the atmosphere.

4] Industrial activities involve the burning of fossil fuels to produce energy, and during this process carbon dioxide and nitrous oxides are released into the air. Other pollutants such.....
