Confronting the atrocities of the Holocaust was a very important thing for these people to do in 1945 and it continues to be crucial now. In 1945, a terrible event occurred. The Holocaust is something that real people experienced and in no way can be taken lightly or forgotten. It must be addressed continuously in order to remind us of the people both passed away and the survivors. The Holocaust wasn't just another event in history; it was something that people in this time period are continuing to deal with. Many people lost their loved ones, their homes, and their faith and pride. Ignoring what happened in these concentration camps will not help anything or prevent something like this from taking place again.
