Their Eyes Were Watching God

Summary:   A literary Analysis of "Their Eyes Were Watching God" by Zora Neale Hurston.


I enjoyed reading their eyes were watching god. At first I thought it was just another boring book assigned to be read over the summer. It proved to be much more than that so the following is a literacy analysis of this book.

The plot of this story is not revealed in the way plots are generally given in most stories. The reader receives bits and pieces of it throughout the book but the whole plot doesn't take form altogether but near the end the reader is able to look back on everything and it will hit him. The story starts with the main character walking back into town and one of her friends greets her. They chat and the main character, Janie, when asked for the whereabouts of her husband starts her story with the beginning.....
