Summary:   Essay discusses who the Princess will choose in the short story "The Lady or the Tiger" by Frank R. Stockton.


Frank R. Stockon writes the short story, "The Lady or the Tiger"" In the story, the king finds out that his daughter, the princess, is involved in a relationship that is unapproved by the king. The king decides to sentence the youth. The way the sentencing works is the youth has to have a choice between two doors, one is filled with a lion and the other has beautiful woman that he would marry. The youth decides to have the princess pick the door that he chooses, and the princess knows what is behind each door. The princess selects the door that has the tiger behind it. She selects that door because she does not want to go through the pain of seeing the youth with another woman. In addition, she chooses the lion because, she.....
